Finding a caster to fit the built-in stem on your chairDoes your chair have the caster stems welded or built-in? They are likely proprietary to the chair manufacturer and you may have a difficult time finding a replacement caster to fit the stem. As you can see from the pictures, the caster-end of the stem can differ significantly from one model to the next and from one manufacturer to the next.Your best bet is to contact the dealer from whom you purchased the chair or the manufacturer. If they do not sell the replacement casters, you will be stuck with trying to find a fit.If this describes your situation, take some accurate measurements of the stem (the portion that would fit into the caster) and enter them into the form below.Apollo Caster will attempt to determine what casters will fit. Using a caliper is recommended to get accurate measurements of each dimension. Calipers are available at most hardware stores and the cheapest plastic models are $5-$10.Our recommendation will be our 'best guess' based on the measurements provided. |
