Great customer service.... I had an incorrectly matched product (my error), and the customer service rep called to ask if I intended to do that. He then assisted me in selecting the correct product, and we received it quickly!
I have a very heavy adjustable bed that I received with no frame. I picked up some casters with threaded posts locally that should have been strong enough, but the posts bent, pulling out of the sleeves. Apollo Caster had casters without posts so I purchased these and bolted these on. These are much better made than the ones I got locally and they should withstand the abuse easily. Apollo Caster shipped quickly and had prices better than the other sources I found. I have them at the top of my list when the need arises.
Needed plastic caster inserts for carts that are heavily used in our facility. Found what I needed at Apollo caster, couldn't tell on other sites if I was getting the correct size. Minimum order gave me more than I needed but always good to have some on-hand and it was still a good price. Easy ordering and arrived in the expected time frame. Good resource for casters and caster parts.
So, anybody who custom builds computers or does any type of modding will know how daunting of a task it can be to find the right parts and pieces that you need. Often times, you don't get a kit with the correct screws or fittings that you need.
The problem with this is that you don't have very many options out there unless you know specifically what it is you are looking for. Plus, how would you know what you were looking for unless you already had that custom part to begin with.
Anyhow, I have one of the newer Thermaltake Core X9 computer cases meant for serious "enthusiast" computer builders. The problem is that there are no casters or wheels for the bottom--not even as an option that you can buy. There are rubber feet which are pre-installed that you can unscrew, and then you are left with some pre-drilled holes if you want to put an alternative type of footing on the bottom of the case.
For anyone who cares, it turns out the mount type on the bottom of the case takes a square plate mount with 1" spaced 4-screw 3/8" mounting holes. You'd think that would be common and easy to find the right type of casters which will fit that type of mount.
So I started my search on Amazon. The problem is not finding a selection. The real problem is not finding correct information or enough detailed information about the spacing, the plate size, the hole sizes, etc. How can you buy something "technical" without enough technical information because it requires a very specific fit that can't be guess-work?
Apollo not only had the exact casters I was looking for, but they an impressive selection to choose from. In addition, the online catalog was well organized and easy to filter my search. The technical details were concise and easy to understand.
The only single negative comment I would make is that I wish the casters had an option to buy additional screws, washers and nuts with them. Yet, given the logistics of not knowing what each person's individual needs were, I can see how that would be difficult to source and stock all of the screw types for any given set of casters. I'm just "knit-picking" over a minor detail.
Overall, my experience with them has been great, and I would gladly use them again in the future.
We bought some slipcovered armchairs from Restoration Hardware in the summer of 2013, and to my horror, I discovered that the hard plastic casters that came on the chairs were making grooves in the poly coating of our hardwood floors!! So I researched a softer caster replacement and was thrilled to find Apollo Caster. I called them and explained my problem, the rep answered all my questions and suggested that we try one size stem first and see if it would fit on the chairs. The new rubber ball casters arrived quickly, but the first size didn't quite fit, so I sent them back and got a size smaller. Viola - They fit! Problem solved!! Very happy with the product and personal service I received. But wait, the story gets better: fast forward three years later, and we're moving... and selling off our "revised" caster chairs and repurchasing the same ones in a different color/style for our new condo! So I called Apollo Caster back again, filled them in on our order history, and they actually remembered me and my chairs!! So I just had to reorder the same set of casters for our new slipcovered chairs and once again, problem solved. (I know what you're thinking: but if DH hadn't tossed out the "old" original casters from RH, I could've just swapped them out when I sold them - but those crummy plastic ones were long gone by then!) Excellent selection & even better service!
