Description

Axle & Nut; 1/2" x 5"; Steel; Zerk (for 3" wheels or 4" hub lengths)

Caster axles are available in a variety of sizes and with several options. Many smaller axles have a rivet head and a jam nipple to lock into the caster yoke. Larger axles have hex heads and many are available in hollow form with a grease-zerk and cross-drilled hole for easy lubrication of wheel bearings.

Axles for use with brakes usually have a shoulder to allow easy brake pedal action.

Axles are not weight-rated. Please double-check the dimensions for proper fit.

Please specify in the order notes if coarse or fine-thread are required. Locknuts may be nylint or jam nuts. Please specify if one or the other is required.

The wheels feature heavy cross section castings for heavy duty use, abrasion resistance and a long service life. They are resistant to abrasions and require minimal effort to start-up and push loads. Built for high capacity applications, the cast iron wheels can withstand extreme heat. These are avialable in a wide variety of sizes, weight capacities, and bearing types.
