Ball Transfer; 1-3/16"; Steel (Carbon) Ball; Round Drop-in Base (1-3/4" x15/16"); Carbon Steel Housing; 500#; .525" load height.
Ball Transfers provide omnidirectional motion with extreme ease of movement. Designed for traditional ball up position for ball transfer tables and often used as a caster in the ball down orientation for rolling applications such as retail store displays. Main balls can be made of nylon, steel or stainless and the housings can be either steel or stainless. A variety of connectors are available and a few thumb-screw brakes are offered.
Unlike many casters, ball transfers are impervious to cold. They do not freeze up.
Ball Transfers can be noisy. The multitude of supporting ball bearings tend to chatter as they move - regardless of the main ball being steel or nylon.
Ball Transfers are designed for smooth substrate and weight capacity may be dimished in the ball-down configuration.
Cast iron, forged steel and ductile steel wheels offer the ultimate in load capacity and impact strength. The wheels feature heavy cross section castings for heavy duty use, abrasion resistance and a long service life. They are resistant to abrasions and require minimal effort to start-up and push loads. Built for high capacity applications, the cast iron wheels can withstand extreme heat. These are avialable in a wide variety of sizes, weight capacities, and bearing types.
